WE’RE ALIVE!

THE PURPOSE OF THIS URANUS PLUTO SQUARE

People are sick and tired of being cheated, scammed, lied to, and worst of all, oppressed. Funny thing is, even the oppressors feel the same way. It’s a feeling that pervades every living being, sentient or otherwise.

Even the trees in your front yards are pissed. The birds and the bees are pissed. Cats and dogs will not be treated carelessly any more. The individual in every being is rising up, no matter how absurd it seems. Even the rats under the streets are sick and tired of being poisoned for no reason, other than the fact that they want to live and dine on the garbage.

The Earth is under stress from the Uranus Pluto square, and growth means something has to give in order to relieve the stress.

To find the midpoint of this square between Aries and Capricorn you have to look to Aquarius.

So Aquarius, where you have it in your chart, is the point at which the stress is relieved. It is also the battleground upon which this huge war is being waged.

For Aries (and rising) - it’s your friends and associations

Taurus - your career and reputation

Gemini - your entire mind and ethical values system

Cancer - your sex life as well as your struggle to survive

Just as you’re about to blow, Mars begins a rather extended retrograde in Virgo through April. That delays everything. Well, if not delays it slows the whole thing down. But you can be sure that in the ashes an ember is stirring. It’s not only a World War. It’s an Earth War involving all the beings of the earth and the ground upon which we walk.

Not to get panicked or scared, because this rare occurrence is happening for a reason. Growth is always uncomfortable, mainly because it disturbs the status quo. You cannot go on drinking your tea while the cups are rattling on the table.

Change of this magnitude is rare. It describes human and geological evolution. The weather will get crazier. Disturbances in the Force will make some people think the Devil is at work, or we are being punished for all our Sodom and Gomorrah wickedness, and all the other superstitious reasons and rationalizations people cook up when no other explanation fits what they perceive as a random, insane, and pointless upheaval.

And the truth is, when crises arise, when traumas whack a family, when unexpected changes blow apart people’s hopes, plans, and wishes, traditions are overthrown. It IS scary.

But not all the things that happen are so traumatic. In this time many unbelievable stories of heroism, magical healings, and impossible events will turn your head around and show you that no matter what happens, people are amazing in their ability to adapt, grow, cope, shine, survive, thrive, be creative, and to be alive, alive, alive.

The earth and everything around it is alive. That’s what this aspect is for –

To show you that you are alive.

To appreciate being alive.

To wake you up to what you have to do while you ARE alive.

What you CAN do.

We say Jupiter represents luck, mainly because it does
diminish the effects of evil.
But don't over idealize the power of the planet
in transit.

For one thing, whatever happens to you has to be corroborated by the birth chart and the progressed horoscope.

A Jupiter transit through a house that is tenanted by malefics or heavly afflicted by hard aspects may indeed show an improvement and a lightening up during the year it is transiting that house.

Sure enough, however, the natal chart
wins out unless temporary changes are supported by deeper awareness and growth on the part of the individual.

Also.

The symbol of Jupiter

is the crecent of soul elevated over the
cross of matter.

It implies that whatever is flesh
also has a spiritual side.

Unevolved Jupiter types
are not mindful of justice. They are all about their
appetites and are just plain pigs.

Evolved Jupiter types know that
whatever is present in matter is also
a spiritual soul
whose presence is only temporary
on loan to the living being it inhabits.

Jupiter always shows release
from the chains of matter
and that's why we do often see death
with Jupiter transits and progressions.
To get spooked by this is
compeltely neurotic.

Jupiter represents the
elevation of matter
the elevation of the human being
into something magical and divine.

So much fear of the retrograde.

So many people trembling and not daring to make a move or a decision.

True, I woudn't buy a new car or a big ticket item
unless it was already used,
or, as they now call it,

pre-owned.

The thing is, the period lasts a lot longer than most people think,
considering the shadow of Mercury on both ends,
which we won't even go into here because then
some people will remain frozen
forthe entire year.

You have to keep living and moving.

Contracts do get signed,
real estate closings do occur.

But in reality,
it's best in the best of all possible worlds
to move forward in a direect Mercury,

mainly because during those periods
you have more information
without hidden codicils
or vital facts omitted--
inadvertently or otherwise'

Going on a trip?Mercury retro will make it an adventure.
You won't be able to control the details
of the entire voyage
but that's what an adventure is all about.
As for the end of hte Merucyr rettch
don't jump the gun.

The Presidential "election" of the US

in 2000 was held just before Mercury wqent direct.
Enough said.

It's at this station that Mercury is most powerful,
especially this year because
a toal lunar eclipse occurred
with a direct station of Uranus
at the same time.
SO the explosions
have been a bit delayed.
If you have a big move to make
do it after the planet starts moving again

on Thursday.

But then,

you cna't hang your life on it.

Things happen
you adjust
and
if you were born with a retro mercury
or your have one in your progressed chart,
it's during the retro
that everything happens for you.
It's something you have to hang with.
People who pop into your life during this period
will probably pop out again when
mercury goes retro
but they will pop back again in the next series of retros,

It's a good time to gather with
old friends and relatives
reconnect with contacts
but not make a big deal out of every decision
or expect everything to fall into place forever.

It rarely does.

THE VENUS TRANSIT:

YES, IT'S LOVE, BUT IT'S WAR TOO.

The planet is boiling. as Venus stirs passions of all kinds.
In Leo especially.
it's assertive, ardent, easily aroused.
Good for the bedroom,
but highly intense and volatile.

This transit of Venus coming up in a couple of weeks is worth noting.
So many emails and letters have come in
some of them angry, because
we said "A KISS BEFORE DYING."
The Sun Venus conjunction is a "superior" conjunction.

Venus is temporarily disappearing under the sunbeams.
Ancients called this "cazimi"
and saw it as evil.
The Sun was "swallowing up" Venus.

Nowadays we are supposed to have a deeper,
more sophisticated and well rounded vision
of the things we do and the things that happen to us.
With this conjunction there is great love possible.

But it has to be an unselfish love.
You have to love deeply, freely, completely,
fearlessly and unselfishly,
even if you know that you and
the being or beings you love
are only on loan.
They are to be cherished.
But there is also a good-bye that is always said
when Venus approaches the Sun

and from then on for many months
Venus will no longer be visible in the morning sky.
It disappears into the night.
Love must transcend the darkness
and continue to exist
whether you are together or not.

In case you are wondering how long you’re going to be crazy .....

The freaky solar eclipse of this past May?
Obviously things are not exactly back to no--
how long does it last?

Although several different theories exist, here’s something to notice this week: Transiting Mars is passing a critical point.

A few weeks ago Mars passed over the spot where the eclipse actually occurred around 10 degrees Gemini.

Although the residual effects could last until the Nodes retrograde back to 10 Gemini in early 2012, as Mars has moved through that sign, it has brought the “shadow of light”, if we can call it such,
from that point right to the current position of the Moon’s Nodes..
This definitely completes one major effect of that eclipse.

The conjunction of Mars to the nodes this week strongly influences the house occupied by Gemini in both your Ascendant and Solar horoscopes.

Often there is anger nad impulsive action involved.
Not that action is bad, but sometimes
there's a compulsive or obsessive
attitude you get
where you feel deprived
and driven to take action
born out of your frustration for deprivation

To check out the Solar horoscope,put the Sun in the first house, on the eastern horizon (the nine o’clock position) using whole sign houses, and count around till you find Gemini. Do the same with your Ascendant chart. The area of life ruled by that house is exactly where you have been experiencing
an inflammation of Gemini Ssskkkitzerama.

VENUS BESIEGED.: What does THAT mean?

First of all, planets relate to each other in geometric configurations
on a two dimensional grid of the horoscope. They form various angles between and among each other.
Astrologers called the various angles aspects.
Some are "soft" and some are "hard".
They used to be called good and bad till political correctness came in
and made everybody nervous about saying the wrong thing.

Planets 22 1/2, 45. 90 and 180 degrees from each other
differ greatly from those at 18, 36, 60, 72 or 120 degrees.

The former (the hard aspects) present people, situations and circumstances
into your life, creaeting challenges and crises that demand
growth and change. Yechh. Who likes THAT?

The latter (soft aspects)present people, circumstances and situations
in tune with your personal beliefs and view of reality. That's when you pass thorugh easy periods when things seem to go swimmingly.

It's usually a mix, however, since nothing on this damned planet
seems to be easy.
In the immediate situation, right now,

Venus is in the sign of Cancer
Since Venus is often depicted as female we can se
here it is a woman
in the form of a young mother, daughter, sister, cousin,etc

who is passing through a 90 angle to Uranus
90 degree angle to Saturn
a 180 to Pluto
and also at the same time a 60 degree angle to Jupiter

So you can see the picture.
Some woman is in big trouble
while she has much support from friends (Jupiter)

that's how we do it.

ARE THE ECLIPSES OVER?
NOT

Several posts on FACEBOOK refleted the fact that
many people were waiting for the eclipses to be over.

The Solar Eclipse in Gemini in May, for example, starts a period
it doesnt end one.

There are many schools of thought as to how long
the effects of a given, say, solar eclipse will last.

Some believe that the vibrations will be in effect
as many years as the eclipse lasts in minutes.
Others claim that the power endures until Mars and then Saturn pass over that point.

In the case of the most recent Solar ecliipse,
Mars is coming around over the next several days,
while Saturn will not reach there for more then fifteen years from now.

Then, too, the Moon's Nodes will retrograde over the eclipse point over the next year,

so
you have to watch in your own life,
what happened at the eclipse
and how it has triggered a new period
and exactly how long its power extends.

The Solar eclipse in Cancer coming up in early July
is much weaker, since it takes place further away
from the Moon's Nodes.

In short, it is up to each person to observe
and make their own judgements.

The LUNAR ECLIPSE occurs in Sagittarius at hte North Node, completing this one cycle. Now the last time such an eclipse occurred was about nineteen years ago. Issues come to a head, one way or the other, and at the North Node, you are always challenged to be grown up and not attached to outcome.

In sagittarius it is vital to act in a morally and correct spiritual manner. It's about truth, and if one person is closed-minded and thinks he or she is absolutely right, nothing can ever get resolved.

Eclipses occur whtn the Sun and Moon line up with the Earth so that the Earth blocks out the light from the Sun onto the Mon, presenting the illusion that the Moon is "disappearing". It is important to rmember that these phenomena are fleeting, and not to hang too much emphasis on what happens during the eclipses.It is AFATERWARDS that the events unfold.

There is a difference of opinion as to how long these effects last.

Soe believe it's as many months as the eclipse lasts in minutes.

Others say the transit of Mars and Saturn will compelte the effects, no matter how long those two planets take to pass over the eclipse points.

I've seen it work both ways.

we have this eclipse in Gemini on the South Node which is NOT about total independence, but being able to learn how to need the help and support of other people and not be so freakingly determined to push people away when they are trying to keep you alive.

Not that there’s a death thing hanging over Gemini’s head or anything, other than the u usual Pluto in the eighth house thought that at every minute they are going to come down with something horrible.

But you have to know what an eclipse is. And how it affects Geminis. And then how it affects all of us.

Let’s all agree that the Earth goes around the Sun, and as it does its follows a path in a narrow plane we call the Ecliptic. The Moon goes around the earth at a slightly different angle. You can draw yourself a picture of it to get a better idea.
Where those two planes intersect are the points of the Moon’s Nodes. Where the Moon dips into the North is the North Node, and where it dips into the South is a South Node.

At the relatively rare moments when the New Moon or Full Moon occurs exactly while the Moon and Sun are in a straight line, we experience an eclipse.

At the New Moon the Moon’s path blocks out the sunlight momentarily. AT the Full Moon the earth blots out the moonlight.

Of course the ancient people used to freak out when the lights went dark.
Actually the modern people do the same and not just when there’s an power outage in their city.

Although it is kind of power outage.

You do get rather dark thoughts when the eclipses happen.

They blot out the light and make you think it’s going to be forever. Which of course it is not.
But symbolically eclipses signal the end of one major cycle and the beginning of another. The last one like this happened sometime I believe around 1993.
Or so.
And it signals the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.
No matter what sign you are wherever you have Gemini in your chart, a major cycle is ending and you have to let go of certain attachments.
Of course that’s almost impossible to do, mainly because when the south node eclipses are happening, we get more attached than ever.
We get scared of being abandoned
just the way the ancients feared the darkness.

And so we cling more fiercely to the known familiar past
losing faith that the light will return again.
DON’T LET THAT HAPPEN TO YOU.
